The D-Link MediaLounge DSM-520 is a big upgrade over the previous 320 version. You now have the ability to stream high-definition video to your home entertainment system along with photos and audio from networked PCs or USB-connected devices. The DSM-520 also supports streaming of radio from many different sources on the Internet including Rhapsody.

The D-Link MediaLounge DSM-520 supports Windows Media Video 9, MPEG-4, and videos up to 1080i resolution.

The DSM-520 features a HDMI connection for the best quality video and also has an optical digital audio output for high quality digital surround sound.

The DSM-520 Wireless HD Media Player includes a USB 2.0 port in the front panel for access to music, photos, and videos stored on removable USB flash drives or hard drives. Note: Some users have said that the DSM-520 fails to read large USB drives above 200GB and some noted issues with drives smaller than that. We have not been able to isolate the issue to a certain size drive.

Overall, the setup of the MediaLounge DSM-520 was very easy and one can simply drag directories to play into the shared folder.
